In the 25th week of 2024, XPeng XNGP city intelligent driving was newly launched in 6 cities in Shaanxi Province and 8 cities in Shanxi Province. As of now, XNGP city intelligent driving has covered 336 cities in total.
What is XNGP?
XPeng XNGP is the second-generation intelligent driving assistance system independently developed by XPeng Motors. It includes not only Highway NGP but also City NGP functions. The “X” in XNGP stands for XPeng, and “NGP” stands for Navigation Guided Pilot. Although XNGP is ahead of the industry, it is still considered L2+ level, close to L3 level autonomous driving.
Models such as XPeng G6, G9, and P7i are equipped with the XNGP system, enabling intelligent driving assistance in all scenarios, including City NGP intelligent navigation and Highway NGP. When the driver sets a navigation route and meets the conditions for assisted driving, XPeng XNGP will take over the vehicle, completing the intelligent navigation from point A to point B. Upon reaching the destination, XPeng XNGP can also perform valet parking through automatic parking and VPA-L parking lot memory parking, achieving full-scene driving assistance coverage.
In Shaanxi, Shanxi, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces, the safety verification mileage of XNGP city intelligent driving has increased by over 3,100 kilometers.
- Jiangsu Province: Expanded by 5000+ kilometers
- Zhejiang Province: Expanded by 5800+ kilometers
- Shaanxi Province: Expanded by 7600+ kilometers
- Shanxi Province: Expanded by 12700+ kilometers
It is expected that by the third quarter of this year, XNGP will cover the entire country, capable of driving wherever there are roads.
